Andreas KEMMERLING: Thoughts Without Parts: Frege’S Doctrine (pdf, 24 pages)
Does a thought à la Frege consist of parts? ere are several passages in his later works which suggest an a rmative answer. However, if these passages are balanced against many of Frege’s claims concerning thought-identity and thoughtdiversity, a negative answer is more credible. For Frege, a thought proper is an amorphous entity, but one which can be decomposed, in more than one way, into parts.
